The Rattan Sequoia is a full-sized step-through fat tire electric bicycle built for utility riding, heavy cargo transport, and long-distance use. The step-through aluminum alloy frame is reinforced to support a 450 lb payload capacity, accommodating larger riders and heavy cargo loads. A precision torque sensor measures pedaling force in real-time, delivering motor assistance proportional to rider input for smooth, consistent power response across inclines and varied terrain.

The drivetrain is built around a 750W sustained / 1500W peak brushless hub motor producing 80Nm of torque, paired with a 48V 20Ah battery using Samsung 21700 cells. Samsung 21700 cells provide higher energy density and improved heat management compared to standard cells, maintaining consistent range output across extended charge cycles. Single-battery range reaches up to 80 miles per charge, extendable to 150 miles with an optional dual-battery configuration using the included 4.5A fast charger for a 4 to 5 hour charge time.

The 26" x 4.0" Kenda fat tires provide a larger contact footprint and improved rollover capability compared to 20-inch configurations, allowing the bike to clear roots, potholes, and surface irregularities more smoothly. This larger diameter also contributes to stability at higher speeds on road and trail surfaces. A hydraulic suspension fork with adjustment and lockout manages surface compliance, locking out for pavement efficiency and opening for trail absorption.

Stopping power is handled by front and rear 180mm hydraulic disc brakes with a response time under 0.1 seconds. A Shimano 8-speed drivetrain handles gear selection, complemented by ergonomic leather grips. An LCD color display connects via Bluetooth to a mobile app for torque sensor sensitivity adjustment, ride telemetry, and customizable power delivery settings.
